We met the way all modern romances start- online in a dating app! I was searching for the Ben Wyatt to my Leslie Knope (Parks and Rec reference) and he had an Amy Poehler reference in his profile. It was an instant match (although it took Skyler a few dates to warm up and come out of his shy shell), connecting over our love for The Beatles, Freak sand Geeks, and cats. A week later, January 26, 2019, we were having our first date, and by Valentine's Day, date 3, we both were smitten. That summer, we started looking for houses to buy, which we did in December. We moved in at the beginning of 2020, and half way through the year, on June 6, 2020, Skyler asked me to marry him! He calms down my crazy, and I motivate him to achieve. We laugh until we cry about trash cans, touchdown, sock shoe sock shoe, and so much more. He's my fella and I'm his lady and we can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together.
