Prior to their junior year spring semester at Smith College, Lindsay and Chloe met at an impromptu dinner party with mutual friends, Maddy and Anagha. Following this dinner, Lindsay and Chloe’s friends thought they would make a cute couple and schemed to get them together at another event. A month later, Chloe attended Lindsay’s Super Bowl party where she beat Lindsay at a game of Wii tennis. Their real first date included a Wii tennis rematch (Lindsay couldn’t lose twice!), a trip to the local coffee shop, and a snowball fight. After an entire day of giggling and bonding over science, they each knew that they had found their adventure buddy. They have been together ever since.
After quarantining for two months, Lindsay arranged a scavenger hunt for Chloe to wander around Philadelphia while their friends waited at each stop. Due to some rain delays and cell phone woes, Chloe assumed she was late and rushed through the stops. This forced Lindsay to sprint to the final spot in the Philadelphia summer heat. Lindsay proposed to a sweaty Chloe on the Philadelphia Art museum steps. This spot is where Chloe knew she wanted to marry Lindsay back in 2016. Afterwards they ate pizza with their friends on the Schuylkill river trail. Chloe had been planning her own pride themed scavenger hunt for several months (which Lindsay knew about). Instead of friends at each stop, Chloe crafted intricate clues and drawings of several of their favorite spots. What seemed like a good idea at the time turned into a roughly ten mile walk through a swampy Philadelphia. Both were quite hungry and crabby by mile seven. In the end she proposed to Lindsay at Waterworks, overlooking boathouse row.
