Wedding Party

Taylor Neeley

Matron of Honor

Taylor and I met through our small group at JMU! She's probably the loudest, most passionate person you've ever met. In the absolute best way! She is a fierce friend who will stick by you til the end. Taylor and I initially bonded over llamas and coffee in TDU at JMU and quickly became besties. We both ended up at VCU for graduate school after JMU as well so we were thrilled to be Fan neighbors in Richmond! Taylor is always down to debate you on homelessness and human rights, hike anywhere and everywhere, and coordinate group calendar meetings. One of "the squares/fun room" who is a tatted bestie and stuck with me forever.

Meagan Shipp

Matron of Honor

Meagan and I met at JMU through small group! We ended up being sophomore year suitemates in Chap at JMU and quickly became close. We would dream about me getting into VCU for graduate school post-JMU and living in The Fan in Richmond. Thankfully, that dream came true! Meagan and I were housemates in the fan in the cutest blue house and we definitely lived up our single 20's! Meagan is always down to chug massive amounts of water while having heart-to-hearts after bars, make fun of me for being late, and play the weirdest but coolest games. Another one of "the squares/fun room" so we're also tatted besties forever.

Sydney Webster

Matron of Honor

Sydney and I actually met on the first day of classes at JMU! We were both lost trying to find our class and Sydney asked me for directions, thinking I was an upperclassman. I'm so glad she did though! We found out we had two classes together and met in the Village to walk to classes together. Poor Sydney had to deal with hearing about all my crazy antics fall semester, but thankfully she somehow still wanted to be my friend! She ended up inviting me to the small group she joined... and once I finally agreed... that's where we became forever friends. Sydney is always down to drop it low, boop backwards baseball caps off of boys at bars, and go to bed early (haha). She's one of "the squares/fun room" and we're forever tattoo'ed besties.

Kirsten Theobald

Bridesmaid

Kirsten and I met in high school band funny enough! Well, we actually realized later that we were on the same soccer team in middle school, whoops! Our story began when she challenged me for my chair in band (we both played flute) and I was super annoyed by this random girl making me go actually practice my flute and then compete. Thankfully we ended up tying so I got to keep my "better" seat, haha. Somehow in all of that we became besties though. We were there for one another during all our HS, college, and post-college boy troubles, and I wouldn't have had it any other way. Kirsten is the most honest and dedicated friend there is. She is always down to drive around for hours blasting All-American Rejects, get overly competitive at just about anything, and go to outdoor concerts.

Callie Ruane

Bridesmaid

Callie and I met through our JMU small group as well! Long story short.. we both needed a roommate for sophomore year and it worked out perfectly to join a suite of 4 other friends! So, basically, we got set up on a blind roommate date, but hey, it worked out! Callie has the biggest heart but is also a total "no nonsense" friend which I love. She put up with my craziness as roommates and we commiserated over college boy troubles quite often! Callie and I had a blast living together for 2 years in college and ended up in RVA at the same time too. Callie is always down to find a new hike, have the best heart to hearts, and eat bowlfuls of pineapple.

Kelly Durkin

Bridesmaid

Kelly and I met at VCU in our graduate program studying OT! When I accepted a job in Virginia Beach after school I quickly convinced her to stay in her hometown as well. Kelly and I lived in an amazing condo basically on the water in VB next to Chicks. We enjoyed many nights of bar and brewery hopping in VB but still being thankful Chicks closed at midnight. We definitely lived up our VB single years...while still prioritizing sleep (ha). Kelly is the sweetest and most no-nonsense friend there is and I'm so glad we got to be so close! Kelly is always down to watch trash tv (bachelor, etc), go to a workout class, and go on biking adventures.

Sarah Heldreth

Bridesmaid

Sarah and I met through soccer in middle school! We then ended up going to high school together and became lifelong friends. We went to separate VA colleges for undergrad but both ended up at VCU for graduate school as well! We were roommates for a year with Meagan in the blue fan house and then oddly both got grad school placements in Norfolk/VB! Unfortunately, we did not find out at the same time though, but Sarah was gracious to let me sleep on her couch for a while in Norfolk! I'm so thankful our paths kept crossing though! Sarah is always down to pull out her latest cross-stitching project, cheer on the Hoos, and go to hot yoga (jk).

Lindsey Moran

Bridesmaid

Lindsey and I met through our sorority ADPi! We're big and little and we were affectionately referred to as "The Linds(ae)ys" when we lived together in the sorority house. Living together was the best and I have to give Lindsey major props for living with me when I was a crazy senior. Lindsey is the most tell-you-how-it-is. friend and was the perfect match to my people-pleasing self. She is an absolute treasure of a friend and I don't know what I would've done without her in my life during college! Lindsey is always down to hike to DHall through a snowstorm, campout in Carrier (JMU's library), and let me give her constant hugs.

Lauren Huff Thomas

Bridesmaid

Lauren is my sweet sister-in-law! Lauren and I met almost 10 years ago and hit it off right away. We were always able to bond over healthcare (future D.O. over here!) and giving my brothers a hard time. Lauren is the sweetest and most fun and I am the luckiest for having her as my first sister-in-law! Lauren is always down to split her last larabar with you, deep dive into human anatomy discussions, and hide smirnoff ices with you at weddings.

Katie Lusk

Bridesmaid

Katie and I of course met through Carter! I remember meeting for the first time at her and John's place (her fiance!) and bonding over our love of Nertz/Pounce. It was the best living in VB/NFK at the same time and getting to go on so many double dates. Katie is always down to double date at TopGolf, bar hop at trendy spots, and match my competitiveness with card games. I feel so lucky to get to have her as a sister-in-law so soon!

Hunter Lusk

Best Man

My brother, Hunter, and I shared a love of playing sports. Fortunately for me he chose keeper in soccer so I always had someone to practice taking shots on. In addition to living together growing up, Hunter and I were roommates at ODU for 3 years. During this time, we became obsessed with hiking and exploring the outdoors. We have taken on so many daunting challenges together and I am lucky to have such an adventurous brother as my best man.

Joe Laguerta

Groomsman

Joe and I met in high school. Our close friendship led to us being roommates in Richmond. We got to explore one of my favorite cities in Virginia together during this time. Joe along with his wife planned our unforgettable trip to the Philippines. Joe is a brother to me and I am thrilled to live closer to him on the west coast.

James Cho

Groomsman

James or “Cho” as he is affectionately known in this group and I have been friends since high school. Interestingly enough we became closer friends after high school and he has been a brother ever since. We lived together while attending ODU and have gone on many adventures including to South Korea, Tennessee, and the Dakotas together. Cho is truly my number one hype man and always the life of the party.

Tyler Demetriou

Groomsman

Tyler and I also met very early in high school through mutual friends. We bonded over a love of sports. This includes my losing a bet resulting in me wearing a Penn State jersey to school after they beat Tennessee. Tyler is another member of the high school soccer team which helped to build our relationship. My family has been close with his since high school and I am fortunate to have him as a groomsman.

Andrew Mihalkovic

Groomsman

Andrew and I met very early in high school. We shared three classes in a row… study block, chemistry, and most importantly PE. I was shy during this time, fortunately for me Andrew was not. He quickly became a friend and brother and introduced me to several members of this party. Andrew and I have been friends ever since and I am excited to have him in the wedding party.

Chris Mihalkovic

Groomsman

I met Chris when I was in high school and Andrew invited me over to their house. Chris quickly went from my friend’s little brother to one of my very best friends. I basically lived at his house during summer and we grew close through high school and as roommates in college at JMU. Our friendship has grown even closer in adulthood and I feel so lucky to have a lifelong friend like him.

David Streett

Groomsman

I met David when Hunter was teammates with his younger brother Matt. We later ended up at the same high school playing on the soccer team together. After high school we both went onto JMU and ODU for Physical Therapy School. David and I have since explored several cities together since including NYC, Savannah, and DC. David excels as a friend, colleague, teammate, and travel companion and I am blessed to have him through so many milestones in my life.

Kyle Agati

Groomsman

I met Kyle around the same time I met Chris. Kyle and I both spent a lot of time at the Mihalkovic household during high school and summers in college. We have always had a special relationship that allowed for open conversation and personal development. Kyle is a dear friend and I am honored to have him by my side.

Zach Harrison

Groomsman

Zach and I actually played on the same youth soccer team in elementary school. We both went on to Princess Anne Middle School and Ocean Lakes High School. Our friendship grew as not only classmates but teammates on the high school golf team. Zach has been a great friend and workout partner, and I am thankful to have him as a groomsman.

Grant Day

Groomsman

Grant also went to Ocean Lakes High School. We reconnected at our high school reunion and I am grateful that we did. Grant is someone that truly has my back and is down to go out for a good time. I am excited to have him by my side in our wedding party.

Robert Thomas

Groomsman

Lindsay’s younger brother, Robert, and I actually met on the night of his wedding. I appreciated that he had a lot going on but took the time to make me feel welcome. We share a love of watching sports and playing golf and I look forward to adding another brother.

Mark Thomas

Groomsman

I met Lindsay’s youngest brother, Mark, at the same time I met their parents at Veritas. Mark and I get to bond over the love of sports and the curse of Atlanta Falcon fandom. Mark has always made me feel welcome and I am thrilled to be joining his family.

Gina Hughes

Usherette

Gina is the absolute sweetest friend and the biggest hype-person! She is so genuinely cheerful all the time it's incredible. We met through mutual JMU friends and Gina quickly became a part of our little Richmond friend group. She actually helped orchestrate getting everyone together to meet Carter for the first time (before we were dating)! I'm thrilled to have her be a part of this day!
