We're getting married!

Katie and Max’s love story started in January of 2019 when they matched on Hinge. It only took 10 months of casual texting and navigating Max’s 7-day work schedule before he finally mustered up the courage to ask her on a date. For those of you who know Max, he never does anything quickly. Their first date wasn't until October of that year at Rock on Third in Royal Oak, fancy right? The conversation started out normal, discussing family, friends, and their interests. Before they knew it they were joking about going to Monster Jam together and drinking shots of peanut butter whiskey. Although it took some time to get the relationship going, they knew from the beginning they were right for each other.

After that first date, Katie did what she does best, took control. Katie moved into Max's house in September of 2020, just nine months after they officially started dating (to be fair, he invited her). Fast forward six months and Katie decided she wanted to begin travel nursing. Weighing all their options, together they settled on moving to Arizona. Shortly after adopting a puppy, Luna, and rushing to finish renovations on their house, they packed up their things and moved across the country. Embracing the warmth of their new home, they spent weekends exploring hiking trails and soaking in the beauty of the desert. But why stop there? Their adventures continued to unfold, and in May 2023, Max and Katie packed their bags once again, this time relocating to the charming landscapes of North Carolina. For those trying to keep up, they now live in Mooresville, NC where they bought a house together and adopted another puppy, Norman.

On March 5, 2024, during one of their favorite pastimes, hiking, Max took the opportunity to make the moment unforgettable. Surrounded by nature, he got down on one knee and proposed to Katie, who joyfully said yes, marking the start of their next great adventure together. As they prepare to say “I do,” Max and Katie are excited to celebrate their love with all of you, their cherished friends and family.
