The Story Thus Far

Linda and Trevor’s story started like any modern day romance; meeting via an online dating website (OKcupid). Trevor's "pick up line" was asking where in the DC area Linda was from, since he also grew up in Maryland. It turns out they grew up only a few towns apart. Their first date was at a local brewery and Trevor knew it went well when Linda told him he didn't seem like a serial killer and offered a ride home. The next few dates involved hamburgers, movies, and exciting talk about windshield wiper blades. It was true romance. The next few months grew even better as Linda decided to adopt Ginger and the three of them became inseparable. The group went on hikes, got kicked out of doggy daycare, and eventually moved in together in Somerville. By 2020, it was clear that Ginger needed a larger yard to run around in, Linda needed additional space for her plants, and Trevor wanted a tool workshop, so they set forth to find a home to call their own in the suburbs. They found a house in Wayland, MA that matched all the requirements and moved in the summer of 2020. Trevor proposed to Linda in 2021 while on a snowy hike in New Hampshire on Valentine’s Day weekend. He secretly packed the ring box into Ginger’s backpack and had Ginger wait on the hiking trail and called her over with the line, “Ginger, come! Bring the goods!” He nervously took out the box and got down on one knee and proposed to Linda. After what felt like hours, Linda exclaimed “yes!” and to Ginger’s delight, the hike could continue on once again. Linda and Trevor were married in a small family ceremony in their backyard in Sept 2021.
