FAQs

The Wedding Website of Linda Tapia and Preston Marsh
Here are some important FAQs about our wedding.
Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We're keeping our celebration intimate and can only accommodate those named on the invitation.

Question

Will photos be allowed during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This means we respectfully ask that all cell phones and cameras be turned off and put away while we exchange our vows. We promise to share all of the beautiful professional photos with you after the wedding, but for now, we’d love to see your smiling faces instead of the backs of your phones! You are more than welcome to take as many photos as you like during the reception.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

We kindly ask that you RSVP by September 1st.

Question

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony will take place near downtown Palo Alto at the Saint Thomas Aquinas Church, with a reception to follow at the Woman's Club of Palo Alto. Both of these locations are on the same block and a minute walk from each other.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We ask that guest dress in formal/cocktail attire. We can't wait to see how beautiful you all look!

Question

Is there parking?

Answer

The church and venue do not have designated parking. There is off-street parking in the neighborhood. Both locations are on the same block and you won't have to move your vehicle.

Question

Why is there a gap between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

We are having a religious ceremony, and there are limited time slots available at the church. We got the latest possible time for the ceremony and the earliest possible time for the venue as well. We encourage you to use this time to explore downtown Palo Alto. Thank you for your patience with this!

Question

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Early October is still warm in Palo Alto, so you can enjoy the hot sun. Both the ceremony and reception are indoors. We still suggest applying sunscreen if you're going to be stepping outside!
