Question

What are we having for dinner?

Answer

The first course will be a farro & barley salad (dairy/nut free & vegetarian) served family style. Then, you will be able to select either or both of our entree options: Ritz cracker crusted cod (nut free) and grilled sirloin steak (dairy/nut/gluten free). These entrees will be accompanied by family style sides of macaroni & cheese (nut free & vegetarian) and crispy Brussels sprouts (dairy/nut/gluten free, & vegetarian).

Question

Will there be transportation?

Answer

Yes! We will have a shuttle take guests from the two hotels to and from District Winery. More info to come on timing of shuttles! New information! Shuttles to District Winery: Please be ready in the lobby of your hotel at 3:20 to board the shuttle bus! The bus will go from Homewood Suites to nearby Hampton Inn and then drop you off at District Winery! If you miss the first shuttle, there will be a second one right behind at 3:30. Wine is waiting for you so it pays to be on time! :) Returning shuttles: The event ends at 10:30. For guests that would like to leave early, a shuttle will be ready to return you to Homewood Suites and Hampton Inn at 9:40 pm. At the end of the evening, to return to the hotels, be prepared to board the first shuttle by 10:30 pm or by 10:40 on the last shuttle of the evening.

Question

Can I walk to District Winery from the hotel?

Answer

Yes! If you missed the shuttle or just want to get some more steps in to warm up for the dance floor, District Winery is about a 7 minute walk (maybe add a minute or two for heels) from the hotels.

Question

Can we bring our children?

Answer

While we love your children, we are granting you a night out! Please understand that we are inviting just the adults.

Question

Are the hotels and District Winery close to a metro?

Answer

Yes! The hotels are about a 3-minute walk and District Winery is about an 8-minute walk from the Navy Yard - Ballpark Metro stop (green line). You can plan your metro trip by visiting https://wmata.com/

Question

Can we park at District Winery?

Answer

Yes. There is parking at The Yards Lot Q which is a public lot located next to District Winery (to the left as you face the winery on Water St.). There are also a parking garage and limited street parking nearby. For those who notified us in advance of your intention to park, we have arranged for prepaid parking at the Yards Lot Q. Enter and take a ticket as you would any other gated parking lot. If the lot is full (unlikely but we are told this can happen), the lot attendant will have a list of your names and the attendant will be directed to let you into the lot. At the reception, our event coordinator will provide you the prepaid exit ticket so you can get out of the lot. We already paid for the exit ticket so do not use the ticket you received when you entered to lot. If you decide last minute to drive, you can park in the same lot that is right outside District Winery - The Yards Lot Q.

Question

Can we Uber/Lyft to/from District Winery?

Answer

Absolutely!
