Question

IS THERE LODGING AVAILABLE?

Answer

Kamp Kohut is a charming sleep-away summer camp that we will have all to ourselves for the wedding weekend. The guest accommodations are screened-in cabins—each equipped with electricity, private bathrooms, and showers. You’ll find a camp bed complete with linens, a pillow, and a bath towel provided for your convenience. Truly, the cabins are nice! Think Parent Trap vibes. Cabins will be shared with 3 to 7 of your friends or family, creating a fun, communal experience. We will place you with your friends and family but if you have any concerns, please reach out! Located in the heart of the camp, your cabin will be just steps away from all the wedding festivities, making it easy to come and go as you please. If you choose to stay in a cabin, we invite you to join us from Friday afternoon through Sunday morning. The cost to stay in a cabin for the weekend is $250 per person, which includes all meals and beverages throughout the weekend—so you can relax and fully enjoy the weekend without needing to leave camp. We can’t wait to share the magic of an August weekend in Maine with you. Come camp with us for a memorable celebration! To reserve your spot in a cabin, please visit the 'Lodging' tab of this site.

Question

I'm down for staying in a cabin—what should I bring?

Answer

Woohoo! Camp beds, linens, pillows, and towels will be provided, but we encourage you to bring an extra blanket if you run cold. Also, feel free to bring your own pillow, linens, or even an air mattress if that will help you feel extra comfy. Each cabin has electricity, toilets, and showers—just be sure to pack your own toiletries and shower products. We also recommend bringing: -A bathing suit (the lake awaits!) -Bug spray & sunscreen -Comfy shoes for lounging and sneakers if you plan to partake in any camp athletics -Any extras to make your stay more fun or comfortable (a flashlight, water bottle, cozy layers, etc.)

Question

Are there any Kamp Kohut rules I should know about?

Answer

Yes, there are just a few important ones to keep in mind so we can all have a safe and fun weekend: (1) No outside alcohol or drugs are allowed on site. But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered and will be providing all the drinks for the weekend! (2) Smoking/vaping is only permitted in one designated area on campgrounds. This area will be clearly labeled on the camp map you receive at the start of the wedding weekend. (3) If you're staying in a cabin, you'll be asked to sign a standard liability waiver when you rsvp. If you’d like to review it in advance, just reach out to Matt or Brenna—we’re happy to share it with you!

Question

Do I have to stay in a cabin?

Answer

While we'd love for you to join us in the cabins (consider the cabins our 'room block'), you are not required to do so. There are a number of hotels, B&B's, and Airbnbs in the area to choose from, though please note we do not have a room block nor a shuttle for any of them.

Question

RSVP deadline

Answer

The RSVP page will open once you receive your invitation. Please RSVP by July 18th, 2026. That being said, you are free to reserve a cabin spot at any time and are encouraged to do so as soon as possible--these spots will be first come, first serve!

Question

Is there parking at Kamp Kohut?

Answer

Yes, GPS directions will take you straight to the Kamp Kohut parking area. During peak arrival times, a camp staff member will be present to direct parking. The parking lot should meet our needs. However, it is not unlimited so if you can carpool conveniently with friends or family, please do! If you happen to arrive late and the lot is full, you may park on the side of the street leading to the parking lot.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Answer

The reception space has a ramp for easy entry, and we'll have a utility cart available throughout the weekend to help guests get around the camp comfortably. While the cabins are not fully wheelchair accessible, many can be accessed via a single porch step. If you have specific accessibility needs, please let us know so we can make sure you're well taken care of.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

We love your children, but we’ve decided to keep our wedding an adults-only celebration (aside from our Flower Kids). We hope you’ll be able to take this time to relax, celebrate, and enjoy a fun weekend away. Thank you for understanding!
