We're Getting Married!

In August 2021, Lincoln and Isabella met for the first time at a leadership retreat for the college ministry they both attended. While that moment sparked their friendship, God was still shaping their lives individually before opening the door to a deeper relationship. Their bond grew during the summer of 2023, when they began writing songs together and discovering a shared love of music. More often than not, the songwriting sessions drifted into long conversations—so much so that even when little music got written, they still both relished the time and couldn’t wait for the next excuse to meet. As the year went on, it became increasingly clear—to them and to their closest godly friends and community—that they were wonderfully compatible. Isabella’s girlfriends kept asking why she and Lincoln weren’t dating yet (you can imagine their excitement now), and their friends teased him, too. When Lincoln met Isabella’s parents, her dad immediately asked why she wasn’t dating him—he’s pretty thrilled these days as well. Behind the scenes, Lincoln was already mapping out how to ask her out. After seeking counsel from their godly community and getting her dad’s blessing, he put his plan into action. On November 17, 2023, after a movie night with friends, Lincoln drove Isabella home and asked if she would go on a date with him the very next day. Isabella burst into nervous laughter—which Lincoln momentarily mistook for rejection—before saying she’d love to. A few outings later, they made their relationship official on December 10, 2023. Since then, Lincoln and Isabella have grown ever deeper in love, keeping Christ at the center of their journey. Jesus had been working in each of their lives in radical ways before bringing them together, and now they continually spur one another toward Him. They share a sense of humor filled with niche jokes no one else quite understands, and they remain each other’s best friend. After one year and five months together, on May 17, 2025, Lincoln asked Isabella to marry him. With tears of joy in her eyes, she ecstatically said yes. Now they are thrilled to enter the covenant of marriage, surrounded by the people they love.
