FAQs

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests refrain from taking photos during the ceremony, as we have professional photographers capturing the moment. Guests are welcome to take photos before and after the ceremony, as well as during the reception. We look forward to seeing and sharing the memories you capture throughout the celebration!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding dress code is semi-formal. This means cocktail dresses, dressy skirts or tops, and for men, suits or a blazer with slacks. Polished but comfortable is the goal!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There will be limited parking available in Brooklyn Heights. While there are several parking garages nearby, we encourage guests to carpool or use a ridesharing service if possible.

Question

How will guests travel from the ceremony to the reception?

Answer

Shuttle transportation will be provided from the church to the reception.

Question

Will there be dancing?

Answer

Yes! Get ready to boogie!

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

Yes! Please see the travel page on our website for details of our hotel block.

Question

I still have questions, what is the best way to contact you?

Answer

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to text Lin Hollander at 347-578-3023 or Conor Flagg at 845-325-7165.

Question

When would you like us to RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as possible, and no later than June (three months before the event), so we can have an accurate estimate of the number of guests attending and plan transportation accordingly.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 3:00 PM at First Unitarian Congregational Society in Brooklyn 119-121 Pierrepont Street Brooklyn, NY 11201. We recommend arriving by 2:30 PM to allow time for parking and to be comfortably seated before it starts.
