Despite both living a nomad life, Armando in Canada, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia and recently Egypt, and Andrea, Germany, Sweden and the US, when they need support, they are always there for each other.

Even though Lisa was born a whole 13 years after Lina, she has grown into the most amazing young woman and sister Lina could've ever asked for. They don't let their age or distance stop them from doing all the sisterly things, like sharing closets, gossiping about boys, and twinning in pictures. Lina can't be happier to have Lisa in her life and by her side!

Marco and Andrea talked with each other the first time when Marco applied for Andrea's company. An interview that was supposed to last 30 minutes, ended after two hours. Since then many coffees, dinners, lunches brainstorming about the next thing and any type of out-of-the-box ideas!

Emily welcomed Lina to Los Alamos when Lina moved to a brand new city in the middle of high school. They separated for college but since they reunited in Los Angeles, Lina and Emily love reminiscing about the good ole high school days. Emily is Lina's #1 beauty consultant, rock-climbing buddy, and Olivia Pope-stype wine and popcorn date and Lina is so excited to celebrate with Emily by her side!

Friends and colleagues following each other in different countries, departments and renewables energy technologies. Hopefully finally settled in the battery storage world. Many late nights spent together in the office in Essen, Chicago and lately facetiming whenever there is a great news, a gossip to share and less frequently talking seriously about work!

Friends and roommates through medical school, Kara and Lina have shared many-a-nights working hard and playing hard together. Even though Kara moved to Romania briefly, Lina and Kara have found time to road-trip across Germany together. Lina is thrilled to have Kara back in the US in time for her wedding celebration!

Unfortunately, given the slower vaccination pace in Italy and the stringent US travel restriction, Luca, Andrea's best friend, will not be able to join. As soon as the world "re-opens", they will celebrate together..as many nights just a few years ago!

Friends since college, Ben and Lina have been through thick and thin together, working through problem sets, studying for the MCAT, and applying to medical school together. Ben will always be Lina's NYC-guide, good eats-guru, and life advice-doling bestie! She is so grateful to have Ben officiate her marriage!
