We met on the first day of medical school, in the lobby under floating bacteria (super romantic huh), with our first conversation continuing all the way down the Broad Street Line. Chris says that since that first subway ride, he knew we were meant to be something special. Our study dates turned into dinner dates, leading to our first official date at In Riva in Manayunk. Somehow, this fiery, blue-eyed, red-bearded man wooed this sweet island girl, into a relationship that we wouldn't change for the world.
Chris threw the ultimate surprise proposal. He planned a fake Boston University Women's Soccer alumni weekend, to get me up to Boston, where all my friends and family would be waiting. The day of the "alumni event", Chris was acting very strange and kept leaving to go to the bathroom, so I assumed he was feelin' it after a late night out with the BU girls. Later that afternoon we arrived to BU's campus, and began walking across Nickerson field. As we hit midfield, our song and a video capturing our relationship started to play on the field's jumbotron. After the video finished Chris got down on one knee and proposed at one of my most favorite spots in the world. After proposing, we went back to our rental house where our family and closest friends surprised us! It was the best day ever. He really went from #friendzonetoendzone
