Airport Recommendations

The most convenient airport is Rhode Island TF Green International Airport, just 20 minutes from our wedding venue. However, Boston Logan International Airport can sometimes be cheaper! If you do choose Boston, there is a direct train route to Providence.

Train

MBTA - South Station to Providence

Ticket purchase: 1. Download “mTicket” from the App Store 2. Go to “Buy Tickets” 3. Select “South Station” as the origin station 4. Select “Providence” as the destination station 5. If you are taking the train on a weekend, select the $10 Weekend Pass (Saturdays and Sundays only) 6. If you are taking the train on the weekday, select the One Way ticket How to get to South Station from the airport: 1. Leave the airport through baggage claim, go out the arrival doors, turn left, and walk 2. Look for the “Silver Line” bus stop (the one that goes to South Station—you can ask any airport staff—it’s all the way near the end of the sidewalk) 3. Take the Silver Line to South Station (free transport from the airport) 4. Follow the signage from the bus terminal to the train terminal 5. Check the mTicket app for the commuter train schedules ( Schedules > Commuter Rail > Providence/Stoughton Line > Timetable Tab > Direction of your trip > "Outbound -> Stoughton or Wickford Junction”) 6. Note: not all trains in that schedule go to Providence station. 7. See the train number and time listed for the one you will take, then keep an eye on the big board for which track it will be departing from. The destination will be listed by its last stop (could be “Providence” or “Wickford Junction”; do not take the train that’s listed as “Stoughton”). (After the wedding) Returning to BOS from PVD: 1. Purchase a ticket on mTicket from Providence to South Station 2. Take the train to South Station 3. Upon arrival to South Station, follow the signage to the Silver Line bus 4. Purchase Silver Line tickets at the ticket kiosk next to the turnstiles (note: buy a “subway” ticket not a bus ticket—even though the Silver Line is a bus!) 5. Take the Silver Line bus to BOS
