The Proposal On October 29th I asked my best friend to spend the rest of her life with me, and she said YES! I wanted it to be the best proposal ever, and I had so many ideas. It had to be ‘The Moment’ with an element of surprise too. With the cooperation of our siblings, we started making a plan. The show was going to happen in two parts. Part 1: Nilab (maid of honor/ her sister) would pretend that she had tickets to the Atlanta Botanical Garden to take nice pictures. I will be waiting at a chosen spot in the Garden for my Lima to walk in through the doors. It was a good plan, and she didn’t suspect anything. When Lima walked in, the first thing she said was “What are you doing here?” At that moment, I knew that our plan to surprise her had worked. We talked for a while, and I told Lima what I was about to do, she was so emotional; she couldn’t hold back the tears. So I finally asked her to be my life companion, and these were my words: I love you so much, and I want us to spend the rest of our lives together. Hafiz once said that the words we use eventually become the house we build, and I want you to know that I will try my best to use the kindest words when I am around you and I will cherish every moment we spend together. I love you so much, I have one question to ask, “ Will you marry me?" she said "yes" in her soft, beautiful voice, I didn’t hear her, so I had to ask her one more time. The 1st part was a success. Part 2: Farwah (my sister) helped me plan this part. We invited our closest family and friends to attend a small celebration at the café Intermezzo midtown. Lima had no idea what was going to happen next. After about 25 to 30 minutes at the garden, taking pictures and admiring each other, I asked her out on a date at the café Intermezzo, and she agreed. She was once again surprised to see the smiling faces waiting to cheer us together. We ended our day enjoying a really nice dinner at the Sundial Restaurant, Westin Hotel, Atlanta.
