Question

What is the best way to RSVP?

Answer

RSVP can be done through the tab and online would be preferred; however, you may also RSVP through your invitation and we will update our online lists.

Question

Hotel room accommodations?

Answer

Please see the travel tab on the website for more information about hotel options.

Question

Do you have a wedding registry/ can I bring my gift to the wedding?

Answer

Yes! Please see the registry links listed! We tried to find affordable/reasonable options for items we need for our registry if you have any questions please let us or anyone in the wedding party know! Your presence is present enough, but should you wish to bring a gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table for your convenience!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We decided upon semi-formal. We will be donning a wedding dress and tuxedo but if you wish to wear a dress shirt and dress pants, suit, or polo and khakis like Jake from State Farm, you are welcome!

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Its hard to predict, but generally the weather in August in New York is warm with a range of 69F-84F (20-30C) and is usually not as rainy as other months of the summer. However, if there is adverse weather we have plans for an indoor ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception with the outdoors being permitted if the weather improves.

Question

Will it be outdoors or indoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors on the back lawn (weather permitting), the cocktail hour will be in a covered cooled tent just a stones through away, and the reception will be inside with access to the outside for those who wish. There is a paved well-groomed/sturdy path from the cocktail tent to the reception.

Question

How far is it from Albany, New York?

Answer

About 30 minutes from Albany and about 30 minutes from Johnstown/Fonda/Amsterdam. If you wish to hang around the next day, we can show you around our city we call home.

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

We will have transport from the hotel to the venue and back, but if you chose to drive. The address is: River Stone Manor, 1437 Amsterdam Rd, Schenectady, NY 12302 Take I-90W Take exit 26 toward NY-5/NY-5S/Scotia and stay on NY-890 W Turn right onto NY-5 E/Hwy 5/Mohawk Turnpike (signs for Scotia) after about a mile Turn right after a mile just past the U-Haul neighborhood dealer it is before Skip's Auto service. It is a small sign so go slow when you come up on it.

Question

Is there parking available?

Answer

There is plenty of parking available as there is a huge lot at the bottom of the hill when you get there. Once you have parked you will walk either through the reception hall or grass and you will see the ceremony out on the lawn.

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 2PM, so please arrive around 15 minutes or so before the ceremony start time so everyone is settled before the proceedings.

Question

Are pictures during the ceremony okay?

Answer

We will not be having an "unplugged wedding," as many in our family are avid photographers in their own way and we do not want to restrict that. However, we do ask that you kindly keep your flash off and try to be conscious of those around you and be out of the way of the professional photographers in pivotal moments allowing them to do their work for our special day.

Question

What is the wedding timeline like?

Answer

Please see the schedule portion of the website for exact times, but the general rundown is 30 minutes-1 hour for the ceremony (probably closer to 30 minutes). 1 hour of cocktail hour in the tent immediately following. Four hour reception in the ballroom with dinner served within the first hour. All of this is at the same location and is a very short walking distance. The bride and groom will be present for a majority of the time as they will have had their first look and pictures prior to the event with the addition of sunset pictures.

Question

What drink and food options will be available?

Answer

We will have an open bar cocktail hour, but for the reception chose beer, wine and soda for the main event, but liquor will be available for cash. As for food we are having a wide range of appetizers for cocktail hour including hors d'oeuvres, followed be a buffet station style dinner with plenty of options.

Question

I have dietary restrictions do I have options?

Answer

If you have dietary restrictions please let us know on your invitation, contact us via email lmrosen22@gmail.com, or give us a call and we will do everything to accommodate you. We already have precautions for those who have dairy intolerance/allergy and gluten intolerance/allergy.
