Our story started during an internship at our church, Community of Faith. We both signed up for the three-month summer internship, not knowing it would completely change our lives. By the end of it, we both decided to stay and do the full nine-month program which meant we ended up spending an entire year serving side by side. Fun fact: when we first met… I literally thought he hated me. He was quiet. I was confused. It’s fine. During the internship, we weren’t allowed to date. So instead of jumping into anything, we built a real friendship - one rooted in the Lord, long conversations, serving together, and just doing everyday life alongside each other. Somewhere in that year, something shifted. What started as friendship slowly became something deeper. And once the internship ended, we started spending more intentional time together… and realized God had been writing a bigger story all along. Looking back, we’re so thankful our relationship began with friendship and faith first. It’s the foundation we’ll always come back to.
