Our first date took place in New Haven, Connecticut, in April 2016. We traveled to Canada the following April and decided to make it a yearly tradition to visit new places. In 2018, we planned a trip to Japan with a 24-hour layover in China. Little did I know, Matt had a proposal planned. On the anniversary of our first date, we took a rickshaw ride around Houhai Lake in Beijing, China. It was there that he got down on one knee. We visited Thailand in 2019 and planned to visit Germany in 2020 when the pandemic hit. We hope to continue this traveling tradition with our wedding ceremony in April, 2021 in Amelia Island, Florida!
