We take the safety of our family and loved ones very seriously. As such, we are requiring all of our guests over the age of 5 to be vaccinated against COVID-19. In addition, we are asking all guests to take a rapid take home test the morning of the wedding and to bring a photo of your negative test as your ticket into the wedding. The wedding will be outside, so masks are not required. Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns about these requirements.
Both the ceremony and reception are taking place in the backyard of a private residence at 74 Wright Road, Ashby MA 01431. (More information on the owners of this residence below)
The venue is about 1 hour and 20 minutes from the Boston Logan airport. Car rental is recommended for out of town guests to drive to accommodation and the venue as uber and lyft do not run reliably in this area. GPS to the venue should work just fine and written directions from the town of Ashby MA and Peterborough NH are provided below. The location of the wedding is the backyard of the last residence on a long, small street. Cars will directed to park on a large section of lawn (we will hang signs to indicate where parking can take place) and guests should then walk towards the ceremony. Someone will be available on the wedding date to help you identify a place to park your car.
Please arrive between 4:15 PM and 4:30 PM to give yourself sufficient time to park and walk over to the ceremony. The ceremony will start at 4:45 PM.
Both the ceremony and reception will be outdoors. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be under the open sky, weather permitting, while dinner and dancing will be under a tent. We will have bug spray on the property to do suggest guests pack their own, along with jackets, sunscreen and whatever else you need to be comfortable on the day. (See our Schedule tab on this website for more information about the timing and order of events)
In September, Ashby MA has an average temperature of 60 degrees with a high of 70 degrees, and low of 50 degrees. Since we're convening at the beginning of September, we can expect temperatures will be a little higher and closer to the August average of 68 degrees. Rain is possible, and umbrellas are welcome. We will have tents for all events in case of rain.
No heels! We will be on grass. Comfortable clothes for an outdoor, casual wedding. Bring a jacket as evenings may get chilly!
Our dear friends the Simons have invited us to get married on their most magical property in Ashby MA. Lily has known the Simon family for over 15 years, as a result of her high school and then college based friendship with the eldest and wisest Simon child, Alex. She later went on to share an apartment for three years with the middle and actual wisest Simon, Katie. She is looking forward to some sort of meaningful living or schooling experience with the youngest and seemingly by far wisest Simon, Ben. Dick and Patty Simon have been staples in Lily's life and Keldin and Lily are thrilled and grateful to be getting married in their back yard.
You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.
Most family members have been booked into airbnbs in the area. For all other guests, we've added recommended hotels and inns to the Travel tab of this website. In addition to these options, there are numerous airbnbs in the area. We do recommend you book well in advance, as Labor Day weekend is a popular time for travel. Please let us know if you have any trouble finding accommodation.
The RSVP deadline is May 1st, 2022. You cannot mail your RSVP but must use the website to RSVP, under the RSVP tab.
Both food and drinks will be served at the reception. The wedding will be catered by a local Italian restaurant and vegetarian and non-vegetarian and some vegan options will be available. If you have additional dietary restrictions, please let us know in your RSVP.
Keldin and Lily really hate stuff and want to remain as stuff free as possible. In lieu of stuff, please feel free to give us nothing or if you would like, please contribute to one of the funds in the Registry tab on our website.
