Q&A

What does it mean to us that you are there?

It really means a whole lot for you to be able to celebrate with us. If you are reading this, you are important to us and we would love for you to be a part of the memory that we will forever hold of this day. If you can't make it, we understand and it will be wonderful to see you when we get the chance.

Are kids welcome?

Yes! If you would like to bring your kids, they are more than welcome. We are hoping to make this a family friendly event with snack and activity options for the kiddos. In the RSVP form, please let us know if they will be eating the dinner we provide or if you will be bringing food for them, and also if they require a seperate chair or will be on your lap.

Dietary restrictions?

There will be a spot to list any dietary restrictions you may have when you RSVP. If you miss it or forget to add something, just politely mention it to the ladies serving when you are in line for your dinner. But please try to include it in your RSVP so we know how much food to make.

how to dress?

Both our wedding and reception will be outside of the barn. In the likelihood of rain we will have a large tent set up. Please plan to dress accordingly. While it is warm in August, it will get chillier towards the end of the night and there is a high chance of wind.

What is the Gourd Barn?

The Gourd Barn is a really cool place that we feel incredibly blessed to be able to have our wedding at. The Gourd Barn is a turn-of-the-century barn made of hand-hewn timbers and Clarlyn Ledy's personal shop that features art including gnome homes, vases, bowls, and bird houses. There are so many cool features in the barn and the surrounding yard that show Clarlyn's artistic talents. We are asking that all our guests treat the Gourd Barn with respect and are careful when exploring. Please do be careful to not break or destroy any peice of the property.
