Jace and Lily met for the first time at Hill Country BBQ in Washington, D.C. on August 10th, 2022. A few weeks later, Jace walked Lily home from Mission Navy Yard and asked her on a date. He didn’t end up taking her on a date and after a year of missing each other at D.C. social functions, they reconnected at the annual Taste of the South Gala. The chemistry was undeniable! Jace was quickly falling for Lily, while in her head she knew that she would be moving to Tennessee soon. After a few weeks of D.C. dates, Lily told Jace that she accepted a job in Tennessee. To her surprise he already knew because he had a dream the night before that she was moving. During Lily’s last week in the city, Jace took her to the Supreme Court, speaker in tow, and taught her how to two-step. They danced and laughed and decided to continue to date long distance. About a year later Jace joined Lily in Nashville, TN and 6 months after that they were engaged back in the city where they began to fall in love, on the steps of the Supreme Court.
