Lovell Gulch Trailhead

2400 Rampart Range Road, Woodland Park, CO 80863

5.2mi Length 918ft Elevation gain 2h 27m Estimated time Keep an eye out for mule deer and little caves along the way, and the panoramic views from the top are fantastic! This is a fun trail for families with kids, as long as the kids can handle a five-mile hike, and they're responsible and careful (or at the very least, closely supervised) around the ledges.

Rampart Reservoir Trail

Colorado Springs, CO 80921

3.5mi Length 278ft Elevation gain 1h 18m Estimated time The Rampart Reservoir via Rainbow Gulch Trail offers a gentle hike through aspen and pine forests. As you descend the trail, Pikes Peak boldly rises beyond the roadside fields, and on clear days, you can see the white-capped peaks to the west. One of the most striking features along the way is the presence of house-sized boulders. The trail is adorned in the fall with vibrant aspen groves, creating a picturesque landscape. During spring, you'll encounter a roaring creek, accompanied by butterflies dancing in the meadows and tall evergreens blanketing the hillsides. The trail converges with the creek at the reservoir, a popular spot for families fishing and picnicking. Continuing along the shore, you can find your own place of solitude, surrounded by the natural beauty of the area

Red Rocks Trailhead

Forest Service Road 335, Woodland Park, CO 80863

3.2mi Length 396ft Elevation gain 1h 20m Estimated time There are many trails in, around, and over these rock formations so these directions are just general guidelines. Exploring the many alcoves and cracks of these formations can be a lot of fun. Walk around the South Eastern side of the Red Rocks and follow the line of formations until you either reach a fence or have gone as far as you would like. Then cross through the formations to their northern side and look for a trail that heads back to the parking lot. It is easy to get turned around in this area so remember that if you want to head back, go downhill. That will lead you back to the parking lot. This area is beautiful to look at and explore year round. The easy terrain makes it great for horses, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and biking
