Question

What is the best way to acclimate to the altitude?

Answer

If time and logistics allow, the best way to adjust from sea level is to spend your first day/night at a mid level altitude (<8k ft) and then travel to the mountain. For example, fly into ABQ and stay the night there, then travel to Taos Ski Valley the next day.

Question

Do I need to know how to ski to attend?

Answer

No! However, this could be a good opportunity for a lesson, Taos Ski Valley has an excellent ski school. please visit Taos's website for more details if interested https://www.skitaos.com/things-to-do/snowsports-programs/adult-programs

Question

Are there discounted lift tickets?

Answer

Yes! Please indicate on your RSVP if you are interested in a discounted lift ticket (approx $90/day). Not necessary if you are an Ikon pass holder.
