Colin grew up in Altamont, NY where he developed a love for skiing & the outdoors eventually leading him to Colorado after college. Four years ago he began working in Business Development for a sweet commercial furniture dealership. This is where Colin & Lily first met! Lily is a San Diego native and moved to Colorado six years ago for her desire to explore the mountains with her pup, Caber. She is an Interior Designer and while designing a local brewery she brought Colin and his team on to provide the furniture. This led to a fun-filled friendship and romance to soon follow. Fast forward a few years and we are still exploring every chance we get! Now we do this with our two fur babies, Caber & Quiggley. Our next adventure is beginning our lives together as husband & wife and the purchase of our first home this April! We appreciate all of you for joining us on this wild ride and celebrating in our love and commitment to one another.
Colin here... I have had this day planned since Thanksgiving 2019. Being a 'Turkey baby' and loving the holiday, I wanted to bring our families together to finally meet and share in a week of fun and feasting. Fast forward to fall of 2020 and nothing has gone as planned, ugh thanks COVID-19. Shortly before the proposal and whole week I planned in Crested Butte; we had to call everyone off, including Lily's parents who were driving in from San Diego to surprise her. Soooo... I switched gears and pushed forward with a new plan in mind. Only us two and the dogs went to CB. I suggested we find a nice spot to take Christmas card photos. It worked perfectly, she was getting dolled up while I gathered the ring and gave the dogs a little pep talk, for myself :) When she was ready, you could tell she was excited to go and take these pictures. We walked to this cool bridge we found and I couldn't have been more weird and nervous for everything about to go down. As we set up our phones for selfies, mine on video mode, we start having fun with the shoot and just enjoying being there with each other. After I "adjusted" the camera, I am ready to go with the ring in hand. As I timed the camera to go off, I got down on one knee and uttered the words "Lily, will you marry me" before I just start sobbing! Believe it or not, she said "YES!"
