Chris and Lily met in 7th grade in the gifted program at KJHS. It wasn't necessarily love at first sight for Lily as much as it was for Chris, but there were certainly feelings on both sides. Throughout junior high and high school Chris and Lily grew closer. They found endless things to joke about during class, bonded over common interests, and soon came to realize they had a connection they just couldn't deny. They began dating towards the beginning of their junior year of high school and it's been history since. They were in all the same classes throughout junior and senior year, played in jazz, concert, and marching band together, and decided to work at Five Guys together after school because 8 hours a day together just wasn't enough. After graduating, they went on to attend Eastern Illinois University and lived out their college years together. Throughout the last 7 plus years as a couple and over a decade as friends, Chris and Lily have experienced an endless amount love, joy, and companionship through all of life's highs and lows. They are beyond grateful to have been blessed with each other as best friends for over half their lives thus far and cannot wait to continue their friendship as husband and wife for the rest of their lives on Earth and beyond.
