FAQs

Question

What's the Weather like? What do I wear?

Answer

Our wedding attire will be formal. Dark colored suits for men (no tux required) and long gowns for ladies, color welcome! April on Saint Simons Island is usually a lovely mid-70s during the day and dips as low as the upper 50s and lower 60s in the evening. While this is perfect dancing weather, you might want to bring a sweater!

Question

How do I get there?

Answer

There is no parking at our reception venue, Forbes Farm, so we recommend taking the provided shuttles to and from the hotels as well as between the ceremony venue and the reception venue! We will update the schedule and travel page of the website with shuttle times closer to the wedding.

Question

Can you accommodate my dietary restrictions?

Answer

We cannot wait to share our expertly crafted wedding menu with you! Once we send out invitations there will be a question regarding your meal selection and any allergies/dietary restrictions. Please list them there and our chef will accommodate!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Our wedding is invitation only. If “and guest” or your partners name is written on your wedding invitation, you can bring someone!

Question

Is the wedding kid-friendly?

Answer

This weekend is for our adult friends to let loose and party with us, call the babysitter!

Question

Is the venue indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be indoors at the church and the cocktail hour will be outside. Dinner and dancing will be inside so bring your dancing shoes!

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have reserved a block of rooms at a special rate at 2 hotels for our guest convenience. Please see the “travel” page for more information and to book directly through our special link. We will have shuttles to and from these hotels and the venues!

Question

Can I take photos or videos during the ceremony?

Answer

We invite you to be fully present with us all day but especially at our ceremony. Cell phones are prohibited at the church during the ceremony but we will share the photos with you later!
