The Hora
The Hora is a highly energetic circular dance at Jewish celebrations, in which guests dance in concentric circles around the bride and groom. This is the part where the bride and groom get lifted up in chairs! Use the link below for a video to give you an idea of how it goes. Don't worry if you don't get all the steps--you'll get pulled in the right direction!
Indian Clothes
If you'd like to buy Indian clothes for our Sangeet, here is one place to buy them online. For men, we recommend kurtas or sherwanis For women, we recommend a lehenga, saree, or salwar kameez. For lehengas, we suggest you use the "Made to Measure" option that allows you to send in your specific measurements. “Ready To Wear” will give you a finished garment in a standard size. If you are buying a saree, we encourage you to get one with the folds already sewn in. The pre-stitched feature is available under the “More Options” tab on the page of each saree. If you selected the “semi-stitched” option, a seamstress will be needed to finish the garment.

If you'd like to buy Indian clothes for our Sangeet, here is another place to buy them online. For men, we recommend kurtas and sherwanis. For women, we recommend a saree, lehengas, or salwar kameez. For lehengas, we suggest you use the "Custom Tailoring" option, which allows you to send them your own specific measurements. Selecting “Standard Blouse” for sarees or “Standard Stitching” for lehengas will give you a finished garment in a standard size with the option to lengthen or shorten the sleeves or the skirt. For sarees, we recommend you get the folds sewn in, that feature is listed as a “Petticoat” option on the page of each saree Selecting "Standard Blouse" for sarees will give you a finished garment in standard sizes. If you selected the “semi-stitched” option, a seamstress will be needed to finish the garment.
Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum
The Udvar-Hazy Museum is the companion facility to the Smithsonian's Air and Space Museum. Check out a hanger of aircrafts, the IMAX theater, and the observation tower on which you can view planes landing at Dulles Airport. The museum is a short 8-min drive from the hotel and it's open 7 days a week from 10am-5pm
