Avalon Shopping
Upscale outdoor shopping mall across the street from the hotels we have room blocks reserved at. We have seen countless movies at the Regal Avalon, eaten many meals at Antico Pizzeria, and debated endlessly over which ice cream flavor is best at Jeni's Ice Cream.
Downtown Alpharetta Area
Grab a drink at Truck & Tap, a latte at Valor Coffee, or a meal at Ceviche. And, if it's sunny out, take a stroll past the Town Green Fountain and through the paths around Brooke Street Park.
Wills Park
Wills Park has a great trail for runners and walkers, playgrounds for kids, tennis courts, and a disc golf course. We love to run at Wills whenever we are back in town.
Fairway Social Alpharetta
Family-friendly, Top Golf alternative, and a fun place to get a little competitive. There is also some great food in the same shopping center such as Ponko Chicken and Lily Sushi.
Halcyon Shopping
A Butzow family favorite with a great food court, easy access to the Big Creek Greenway, and plenty of shops.
Big Creek Greenway
The greenway trails wind through Alpharetta, Roswell, and Cumming, with several different trail head entrances in the area. Highly recommend for anyone looking to go for a run or bike ride.
Aurora Cineplex and Mini Golf
Weather permitting, Aurora is a classic Roswell spot to take the kids for a friendly round of mini golf.
Cochran Shoals Trail River Loop
"The best running spot in the Atlanta area." -Andy. Gravel trails, river views, overall an enjoyable location to exercise during the day before you come join us to party the night away.
The Varsity
This one is sort of a joke because it's the farthest away but also sort of not a joke at all. I (Lily) have recommended any coworker I know up here in Pittsburgh who is planning a trip to Atlanta to consider stopping by the Varsity for a Frozen O and a double chili dog order.
