November 2014 / Lily and Alvin first met with a small gathering of friends at a tea shop. Lily's car had broken down during her commute home to Riverside from CSU Fullerton. On the night of, Alvin messaged Lily and offered to drive from Diamond Bar to take her to school (total commute of 160 miles for him). Although very touched, she declined the kind offer, and this was when their story started. February 22, 2015 / Every day, Alvin drove miles to wait for Lily and spend time with her after work + class. They went on spontaneous road trip adventures, they couldn't spend a day without seeing or speaking to each other, and officially became a couple when he asked her out after her birthday. May 13, 2022 / After 7 years of many adventures around the world, road trips, studying and graduating college together in Las Vegas, raising a lovable puppy (Sora), quarantining during the Covid-19 pandemic, advancing in their careers, and living together- Alvin asked Lily to "help take product photos" at Crystal Cove Park where he proposed along the beautiful beach shore. They are now ready to start the next chapter of their lives, and it all begins now with all of their close loved ones.
