We're Getting Married!

Our story starts all the way back in 5th grade. Ashton wore glasses and played the trumpet, and Lily was 4’9” and played the saxophone. One day at school, our classmates became absolutely convinced we were dating—so naturally, we just went with it. Our first “relationship” lasted about a week and peaked on the playground when Ashton asked Lily for a hug… and then we both ran away. Every year after that, Ashton kept asking Lily out—6th, 7th, and even 8th grade (she told him “let me think about it” and then moved schools). Fast forward to junior prom, we reconnected—and this time it stuck. Now Ashton has curly hair, Lily is somehow still the same height, and after 3 years, 10 months, and 3 days of loving each other, he asked her to marry him, and to no surprise she said YES!
