There are four common options to use from the Barcelona airport: the official taxi stand, Uber, a Rideshare app called Cabify, and a Rideshare app called FREE NOW. For both Cabify and FREE NOW you'll need to download the app and add in your information. If you are taking a taxi, look for the official taxi stand when leaving the airport. There are official taxi stands located immediately outside the airport terminals when you exit baggage claim. Before getting into a taxi, ask the driver for a price estimate to help avoid being overcharged. There are two routes to Sitges: mountain or highway. If you opt for the highway route the taxi will add an additional charge for the toll booth, which is around 12-16 euro extra.
Uber is available but scarce and often have long wait times. Taxi service is available and can be reserved in advance. If you are planning to take a taxi to the villa on the day of the wedding, we recommend reserving a taxi in advance. Below are available transportation options: 1. Cabify. The most widely available ride-hailing app in Barcelona which uses private hire vehicles is Cabify. The Cabify app is similar to Uber, except that the first time you hail a car in Barcelona, you will have to wait fifteen minutes. Download the Cabify app and register, include your payment details (credit card or PayPal). 2. FREE NOW. To sign up for FREE NOW, you’ll first need to download the FREE NOW taxi app. Once you open up the app, you can use the “Enter destination” bar to submit your pick-up and drop-off addresses. You’ll be able to review all your local taxi ride options and price estimates, then request your ride. 3. Taxis. Full-length gowns or formal dresses for women; bright colors and drama encouraged. Suit & tie for men — feel free to wear a summer suit (linen, seersucker, or tan) if you have one in your closet, though classic suits are equally perfect. Garden BBQ & Pool Party: Casual attire, swimsuits & cover ups.
