Flying to FL?

For our international and out of state guests who are looking into flying to Florida, we recommend flying into the Tampa International Airport (TPA). This airport is the closest option for international flights and it is very easy to navigate your way through the airport. While the traffic surrounding the airport can be a headache, it is still the best option. The second best option is the St Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE). It’s a little further away but it’s very small and easy to get around. Traffic around the airport is more manageable but getting across the bridge is usually a start/stop traffic jam. The third best options for international travel is the either the Orlando International Airport (MCO) or Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB). These airports are less easy to navigate and traffic in and around the area is a nightmare. It’s very do-able but is much less enjoyable than the other two airports.

There are many hotels in and around the Lakeland area with a variety of price points. You should have no issues finding a hotel that will best suite your financial needs and provide a comfortable stay. If you are not seeing one you like in Lakeland, check Plant City or Mulberry as those are our neighboring cities and would be the next closest options.
