All guests will take a ferry over to Haig Point. Once you have reserved your stay on Haig Point, you'll receive more information. The address for Haig Point Embarkation: 10 Haig Point Circle Hilton Head Island, SC All guests will use this address to get to Haig Point. You will arrive at embarkation and will need to either unload you luggage at valet (white building on the right) or park your car. Each guest will need to enter the welcome center (white building on the left) to receive your ferry pass. This will be provided for you! Once you have received your ferry pass, boarding will begin 10 minutes before departure. The ferry ride will be about 25 - 30 minutes. Hold on to your pass as you will need this through-out the weekend. The ferry will leave Hilton Head Island once an hour on the 30 of every hour. It will leave Daufuskie Island once an hour on the 40 of every hour. It will not wait for you, so please be sure to give your self plenty of time for parking! We suggest that you rent a car from the airport that you will arrive to. Please make these reservations in advance. While Uber is available on Hilton Head Island, it is not always reliable or available. If you are not staying in Haig Point or on Daufuskie Island, you will need to rent a golf cart to explore the island. Daufuskie Carts: www.daufuskiecarts.com Mungeon Creek Retreats: www.mungeoncreek.com. Only electric carts are permitted inside of Haig Point. If you are staying in Haig Point, your rental home should provide a golf cart.
If you are not staying in Haig Point or on Daufuskie Island, and want to explore Daufuskie Island on your own, you will need to rent a golf cart. If you are arriving to Haig Point for wedding festivities, you may be able to take the Haig Point Valet to your destination. On wedding day, you will be able to walk from Haig Point dock to ceremony. You will be shuttled to cocktail hour and reception. If you need mobile assistance, check with valet upon your arrival to Haig Point. Valet is located behind the Strachan Mansion.
Unfortunately, we cannot host any children at rehearsal or on wedding day. We appreciate your understanding.
Our ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors (weather permitting), so please dress accordingly! The reception will have both indoor and outdoor spaces available, so you'll be able to enjoy the celebration in whichever setting you prefer, however, it will primarily be indoors!
We kindly request that our guests observe cocktail attire for the wedding. Men are not required to wear a tie, but a conservative suit is expected.
