A haldi ceremony is a pre-wedding ceremony in Indian culture where the bride and groom apply a paste of turmeric, sandalwood powder and rose water for a cleansing ritual. And you know what is the most heartwarming part of this haldi ceremony? All the family members and friends get a chance to join in the joy and apply haldi to the couple!

Get ready to kick off our wedding events with a bang! We will have two mehndi (henna) artist for two hours providing simple designs for our guest. The word sangeet is Sanskrit for "sung together." A sangeet ceremony is a traditional Punjabi and North Indian pre-wedding ceremony involving lots of festive dancing and celebratory songs. The ceremony involves singing and dancing with the couple and their close family members and friends to celebrate the onset of their new journey together. If you wish to perform, please let us know so we can have your song added to the playlist!

Formal Indian wedding or American wedding attire
Ceremony will be a traditional Hindu ceremony with a Pundit (priest) performing the ceremony in English, explaining what and why he is performing certain rituals. He has promised that the ceremony will be less than an hour, but we know how that goes. Refreshments will be provided and if you need to get up during the ceremony at any time, it is perfectly okay.

This fusion reception will serve tasty Indian and Mexican food and desserts, followed with a mix of Bollywood, Punjabi, Mexican, and American's greatest hits to bring all of our cultures together for our last night of celebration!
