Question

Tell us more about this drawing!

Answer

Lilly's dear friend Juna Muller drew the image for our save the dates. She perfectly captured what our life together feels like: full of our sweet animals — Roo, Rabbit and Barnaby — and a mishmash of what is constantly left on our dining room table. You can see our reading, our pasta dishes (that Lilly definitely left out and Oliver will have to clean up), Oliver's Blackburn Rover's mug, Lilly's pottery that Oliver broke and heroically glued back together, and a large container of Yorkshire Tea. The vase contains flowers native to our very different regions: Matilija Poppies for Ojai, CA and Bog Rosemary for Bury, Greater Manchester. When she gave it to us she described that Matilija Poppies bloom where it is hot and dry and Bog Rosemary likes the cold and wet — a symbol and wish for us to be able to traverse landscapes of many different kinds in our marriage.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Kids are absolutely welcome and included in your invitation. Just let us know who in your family will come so we can make sure to have appropriate food for everyone!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

For those staying in downtown Ojai, we have a bus departing from the Casa Ojai Inn at 2.25pm; the drive takes about 15 mins. The bus will do 2 round trips to the venue and back, with the second departure from Casa Ojai Inn at 3pm. Regular trips from the venue back to downtown Ojai will begin at 8.30 pm through to midnight. Taxis in Ojai are extremely limited so we highly recommend using the shuttle! There will be limited parking on Tree Ranch Road for those driving.

Question

Which is the closest airport?

Answer

Burbank Airport and Santa Barbara Airports are the closest, but they are small and more expensive to fly into. If you fly into LAX there are shuttle bus services and hire cars that can take you into Ojai if you plan ahead. If you feel you would like to have the freedom to explore we recommend renting a car.

Question

What will the weather be like in November?

Answer

Ojai in November is variable and hard to predict. It's looking like 70s in the day and 50s at night, so please bring something warm for the evening as festivities are entirely outside.
