Kilkenny Arts Festival
One of the biggest and longest established festivals on the Irish calendar, the Kilkenny Arts Festival runs from August 7-17, 2025. The festival completely takes over the city, with official and fringe events taking place in every available space, from shops and offices to hotels and pubs as well as on the street. Although there is an emphasis on visual arts and classical music theatre, you will find dance, literature, crafts and almost every type of music imaginable. 800 years of Kilkenny history all in one location. There are both self-guided and guided tours available and people of all ages enjoy their famous lego hunt (10 miniature legos hidden around the museum).
