It started out fairly innocent. He would come over and hang out with my big brother, Alex. My brother and I had a typical understanding. He wasn’t to date my friends and I wouldn’t date his friends. Clearly, neither of us listened. On my brother’s terms, Patrick and I were not allowed to be friends. This obviously piqued our interest in each other. While Alex would sleep, we would stay up talking, sharing music, and becoming friends. After a few weeks of this, we hung out in secret more frequently. Things were going great. I guess you could say we were secretly dating at this point. On one of our secret dates, we were watching a movie at their shared apartment when my brother came home early. He. Lost. His. Mind.
