You know how people often talk about the invisible string? How people are connected to each other and often are in the same place multiple times and may even meet before they are ready? That's a testament to our story. Way back in St Louis, July 2012 Nick and I both attended Warped Tour. Me with friends, him of course with Jacob and some buddies. Fast forward to June 2018 we were in the same place again but this time Pinch Penny Pub. Me again with friends, him with Jacob.. (See a pattern here?) Over the years often when Jacob would be home, I would tag along to make it easier on him to see his friends and family. Little did we know in July of 2023 our "string" would finally allow us to connect. Of course again with Jacob we went to dinner at Buckwater in Carbondale, then moseyed over to the Cellar for a few drinks. Nickolas and I often gravitated toward each other anyway and this day was no different. After that night we began messaging each other back and forth slowly getting to know each other even more. Realizing we more than enjoy each others company but truly enjoy getting to know each other, having common interests and feeling a sense of familiarity. August 4, 2023 was our first date. We went to eat at Fujiyama (I even got him to try sushi!) then went to watch a friend of Nick's play music at Pheasant Hollow. Both of us knew from that night forward what was between us was much more than just friends. After this we met each others families, attend weddings as each other's +1's and fell more for each other every day. December 14, 2024 Nickolas asked me to marry him infront of a group of our friends and it was the easiest yes I could have ever given. Our invisible string (maybe with a little help from Jacob) is the reason we get to celebrate with our favorite people on March 14, 2026 where I finally get to share a last name with the love of my life and all four of our boys. We hope you come to celebrate with us as we officially become "The Dean's"
