We lived on the same street as little ones and met in first grade Sunday School at Zion Church. From there, we became fast friends and went all the way through high school youth group together. After three years of college, many walks at Nine Mile Prairie and one long-distance study abroad trip later, we started dating in August 2023 and have been inseparable ever since.

It depends on who you ask. Theron would say it was during April 2023, when he spontaneously asked Lilly to go storm-chasing in his infamous 2006 Hyundai Elantra GT hatchback. Lilly would say the first date was three weeks later, when Theron took her on a picnic at Conestoga Lake, followed by a trip to Dairy Joe's for ice cream in Emerald, Nebraska.

Theron proposed on a canoe on Lake Leba in Fremont, Nebraska. His brother, Asher, and sister-in-law, Celeste, planned the sweetest camping trip for the four of us, and Theron made sure to have them hiding in the woods, taking photos from the shore on Uncle Jonah's camera. We went swimming in the lake, and one of Theron's other brothers, Aidan, and his wife, Destiny, joined later for cigars and s'mores at sundown. It was the best day maybe ever.
