How It Began Lillian wanted to buy breakfast tacos for the IR department at the end of her rotation and was recommended to try the local taco shop across the hospital. She woke up early on the last day of her rotation to order tacos. While she was waiting, a young man in scrubs walked into the restaurant. She only saw him from behind but realized he was familiar to her -- it was Kurt! Kurt was an upper-level resident in the same program as Lillian. He had just finished his night rotation and wanted to get food before heading home to sleep prior to another shift that evening. Kurt always grabbed breakfast here via the drive-thru, but that day was different as he decided to place his order inside. They said hello and Kurt sat with Lillian, both enjoying conversation and tacos together. They had such a great time that they went back to that place once a week to share laughs and breakfast. It was at that restaurant, over breakfast, where Kurt asked Lillian out, and the rest is history!
