Things To Do

Broders' Pasta Bar

5000 Penn Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55419

One of our favorite Italian restaurants in the Minneapolis area! They don't take reservations so get there a bit early to enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail while you wait for your table.

Runyon's

107 North Washington Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55401

Runyon's tops our list for best wings in the twin cities! Plenty of beers on tap and several tv's to watch sports games. As we found out our first time dining there, you only have two choices of sauce... buffalo or buffalo, so you better be a buffalo sauce fan!

Lake Harriet

Minneapolis, MN 55419

Visit Lake Harriet for a beautiful walk around the lake (~2.5-3 miles round trip), or to visit the Lake Harriet Bandshell for live music & movie showings all throughout the summer! Stop by Bread and Pickle after your walk for burgers and ice cream! See the website link for what bands/movies are playing and when.

Minneapolis Sculpture Garden

725 Vineland Place, Minneapolis, MN 55403

The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is home to the famous Cherry Spoon! You can expect to spend 1-2 hrs waltzing around the sculpture garden reading and observing several well known sculptures to Minnesota.

Bde Maka Ska

Minneapolis, MN

Just north of Lake Harriet, Bde Maka Ska (formally Lake Calhoun) is about a 3 mile loop walk with beautiful views! They have kayak and paddle board rentals if you're looking to get out on the water! No motorized boats are allowed on the lake, so it tends to be quiet and serene (just the way we like it!).

Science Museum of Minnesota

120 West Kellogg Boulevard, Saint Paul, MN 55102

One of Lillie activities growing up was visiting the Minnesota Science Museum! They have several exhibits including the Dinosaur and Fossils Gallery, Experiment Gallery, the Light Gallery, and (Lillie's favorite) the Human Body Gallery to just name a few! If you're visiting with kiddos, or honestly even if you aren't, check out the Minnesota Science Museum! p.s. don't forget to check out the musical stairs just off the main entrance and past the ticket counter!

Cossetta

211 7th Street West, Saint Paul, MN 55102

Cossetta's is a well known, cafeteria-style, Italian restaurant in Minnesota. Keep in mind they get extra busy before sporting events or concerts that take place in St. Paul!

CHS Field

360 North Broadway Street, Saint Paul, MN 55101

CHS Field is home to the St. Paul Saints, Minnesota's minor league baseball team! Head to CHS Field for a perfect summer night activity.
