What should I wear?

Answer

Our dress code is tropical chic! We recommend breezy sundresses, linen pants, and light button-downs in bright, festive colors. For dresses, knee-length or longer is preferred. Comfortable sandals or wedges are perfect—leave the stilettos at home (sand + heels = tricky combo).

Is the wedding adults-only, or are kids invited?

We love your little ones, but our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We hope you’ll enjoy a worry-free getaway with us!

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes! A valid passport is required for entry into Mexico. Be sure to double-check your expiration date—your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after travel.

What’s the weather like in Mexico in July?

Answer

Expect warm, tropical weather with plenty of sunshine and a gentle breeze. Occasional showers can happen, but they usually pass quickly. Pack sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and maybe a light rain jacket just in case.

Do I need to stay at the resort to attend the wedding?

Answer

We would love for our guests to stay at Iberostar, where all of the wedding events will take place—it makes celebrating together so much easier! If you choose to stay elsewhere, please note that the resort requires you to purchase a wedding day guest pass in order to attend the ceremony and reception. Passes are limited and must be arranged in advance. Please reach out to Lilly if you have any questions regarding acquiring a pass.

Which Iberostar resort should I book?

The Iberostar Riviera Maya area includes multiple resorts on the same beachfront complex: ‑ Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach & Waves Paraiso del Mar (family‑friendly, entry-level) - Iberostar Selection Paraíso Lindo Suites (mid-tier, family friendly) ‑ Iberostar Selection Paraíso Maya Suites (mid‑tier, family‑friendly, where our wedding will be held) ‑ JOIA Paraíso by Iberostar (adults‑only, luxury) Our wedding will take place at Iberostar Selection Paraíso Maya Suites. Guests staying at the Selection and Joia resorts will have full access to the wedding events. If you book at one of the Waves properties or the Lindo Selection, the resort requires the purchase of a day pass to attend the ceremony and reception. If a pass is needed, please contact Lilly.
