Asa caught my eye long ago in his AFROTC uniform at the lovely University of Alabama, where we were in the same campus ministry. I jokingly asked my bible study leader if he was single, where she then pointed me to ask his bible study leader. Of course, this sparks a conversation on why I'm asking and I had to fess up that I thought he was cute! So that began the long embarrassing weeks of everyone trying to set me up with Asa and him being COMPLETELY oblivious to my existence. At one event, a friends dog drug me all over the place making it SO obvious I was trying to get close to Asa, and months later, his response was, "You were there?" Needless to say we FINALLY met at a pie baking competition, where it was me that was oblivious to Asa trying to pull me away and talk to me. Since that day we've been attached at the hip, and we even won first place at that pie competition the next year. Asa will always be the apple of my pie and I'll do anything in the world to stay by his side. Let's close the distance forever!!!! :) - Lillian's POV I first saw Lillian as she was playing piano on the worship team at a service hosted by the campus ministry we both were a part of. A good buddy of mine tapped me and said “Look that’s the girl I’ve been telling you about. She’s been asking about you.” My first thought was “there’s no way. That girl is too pretty to like me.” Sure enough we were introduced through mutual friends at another event and hit it off talking the rest of the night. I managed to get her number along with a few special emojis she picked and literally we were off to the races. We went on a few exciting coffee dates and very quickly I knew Lillian was different. Her passion for loving others was so contagious and her love for teaching special education fascinated me. Watching us grow together over the past 2 years has been the best thing to ever happen to me and I am beyond blessed to be married to Lillian and call her my wife this year -Asa's POV
