All of Old City is worth walking around, especially in nice weather! Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell are located in this area and worth checking out. Pro tip: you can see the Liberty Bell from outside without having to wait in line. There are tons of other museums, from the American Philosophical Society (which will have an exhibit about Revolutionary Philadelphia) to the Ben Franklin museum (a great one for kids) to the Liberty Museum to the Museum of the American Revolution. A highlight is the picturesque Elfreth's Alley, the United States' oldest continuously inhabited residential street. And right down the street is Christ Church attended by 15 founding fathers! We also recommend Book Trader if you're into used books.
We can't recommend FDR Park enough! Of course, it's where we got engaged but there's so much more to it. Every Saturday and Sunday FDR Park hosts the Southeast Asian market, with over 70 food vendors making delicious Thai, Laotian, Cambodian, Vietnamese, and Filipino dishes. Beyond the Southeast Asian market, FDR park has tons of serene trails and a beautiful lake.
