We’re getting married!

February 6, 2022 started off pretty rough for me(Lily). My mom was currently in the ICU and it seemed like she was giving up her fight. I went to church that day and I remember crying in my friend’s arms about my mom’s situation. As she held me she began to tell me how God has a way of taking these hard and tearful moments and turning them into shouts of joy. Fast forward later into the day, as I was walking up Kerry park to the gorgeous view of the Seattle sunset, I was face timing my mom. I wanted her to see this sunset, it was as if Jesus painted it just for me. As I walked along, my friends began to nudge me to look up. And there He(Rod) was, standing in the sunset waiting for me. All of a sudden my friends words came back to me(about planting in tears and harvesting shouts of joy) and I felt the overwhelming love and peace of Jesus. As I was running into Rods arms I couldn’t help but cry, my Jesus worked every single detail that lead up to this very moment. I was in awe of God, he really took my lowest moment and turned it into my greatest memory. Our love story was only written by the creator of the tears, joy, and the sunsets.
