The Galleria
The Galleria is one of the largest malls in the city and features an awesome indoor ice skating rink year-round!
Space Center Houston
Shameless plug for Lili’s workplace. Space Center Houston features many awesome NASA exhibits including a space shuttle mock-up aboard the shuttle carrier called Independence Plaza and tours of Rocket Park, historical Apollo Mission Control and the Building 9 Mock-up facility.
Hermann Park
This is one of our favorite places. There’s so much to see! Besides the beautiful main lake (with paddle boats!) and overlook plaza, you can check out the McGovern Centennial Garden, Japanese Garden, and Miller Outdoor Theatre, free of charge. The Houston Zoo is also at Hermann Park, as well as a driving range and full golf course.
Rice University
Of course we couldn’t leave out our alma mater. The James Turrell Skyspace is a beautiful sight as well as the enchanting Lovett Hall sallyport.
East Downtown
We had our first date in East Downtown and it’s one of our favorite parts of town. Check out the bar where we first met, Miss Carousel <3. Other great bars are Truck Yard or Pitch 25. For brunch check out Leeland House or have some coffee at Brass Tacks. Eado also has some of the coolest graffiti walls in the city all within walking distance. Discovery Green park is just on the other side of the highway and is also a can’t miss!
Main Chick Hot Chicken
Ok, literally our favorite cheat meal. This food truck sells the BEST chicken sandwiches. Make sure to order extra comeback sauce!
Eleanor Tinsley Park
Eleanor Tinsley is the perfect place for a nice bike ride or a picnic with the Houston skyline in the background.
Truth BBQ

Vintage Park Shopping Village

POST Houston
This old post office in Downtown Houston has been converted into a mixed use space offering restaurants, concert venue, a skylawn, and more. Check out their instagram at @posthtx for more event information.
