We are opting to have an electronic free ceremony. This includes cell phones and cameras. Our amazing photographers and videographers will be able to provide ceremony content, so you all can be present with us at that time. You are more than welcome to take photos during our reception and cocktail hour.
We ask that a cocktail attire is followed (knee length or mid dresses, pantsuits, dress shirt and tie). Please be aware that the ceremony is planned to be outdoors so stilettos or uncomfortable shoes may not be appropriate. We ask that you avoid wearing a shade of white, but in addition to this we also ask that you refrain from wearing our direct palette colors which are hunter green, sage green, and gold.
We will have a trolley shuttle from the Fairfield Inn to Starved Rock and it will be running back to the Fairfield at the end of the night. Everything else will be located at Starved Rock Lodge. Trolley will pick up from Fairfield Inn and Suites Ottawa and transport guests to Starved Rock Lodge at 4pm for the ceremony to begin. The trolley will depart Starved Rock Lodge and 9:30pm and 11pm to bring guests back to Fairfield Inn and Suites Ottawa.
We currently have a discounted rate block at the Starved Rock Lodge and at the Fairfield Inn Ottawa. Just know our block is only guaranteed at these two hotels. For information on the Starved Rock Lodge please check the location tab. To book in our block at Starved Rock Lodge please give the front desk a call OR to book in our block at the Fairfield Inn please visit the link under the location tab of this website. Other hotels in the area that our rate is NOT available at include the Best Western Oglesby, Fairfield Inn Peru, and Hampton Inn Peru or Ottawa.
We anticipate having an outdoor ceremony, but we do have an indoor ceremony space if the weather does not permit. Our reception will be inside the lodge.
Children of all ages are invited to join the celebrations. It is up to parents if they would like to include their children and we will ask all children (younger than age 15) to exit by 8pm for some adult only party time. Since children will be included in the dinner, please let us know if a kid's meal is needed
