Our first ever interaction was an email... "Hi my name is Lilian Chen and I am a board member at the Hunters Point Parks Conservancy, are you free for a phone interview sometime this week?" Lilian led the hiring process that landed Casey his job with HPPC and we became colleagues and friends first. Then, 3 months later, while watching the Macy's 4th of July fireworks we had our first kiss. But, ever the professional, Lilian rebuffed several of Casey's invitations for dates, wanting to remain colleagues and friends. It wasn't until the following March that our first date finally occurred... Since then, we have shared our lives and many amazing memories together, including living and quarantining together (with 3 roommates) during the height of the pandemic, traveling near and far, learning new hobbies, and eating all of the delicious food NYC and Queens has to offer. Now, we are ready for the next chapter and continuing to build our lives together, and we're excited to have you celebrate this next phase with us!
