The Blue Lagoon is one of the 25 wonders of the world by National Geographic. It is really worth seeing but it might be closed due to volcanic activity. It is about 2 hours from Reykjavik.
This is another beautiful hot springs place by the ocean. It is about 1 hour north of Reykjavik.
This is the landmark church in Reykjavík. You can’t miss it as you are wandering around downtown. It is beautiful inside and out and worth a quick visit.
Part of the Golden Circle drive, this is a great way to see a greenhouse where they grow tomatoes in Iceland. Iceland is well known for their green house farming. It is also a charming restaurant. Make a reservation well in advance if you want to have lunch here. They are open until 4pm daily.
This is a beautiful black sand beach with unique rock formations. They have twisting hexagonal shapes that are formed by cooled lava. It is very unique and worth a visit. It is located 2 1/2 hours south east of Reykjavik and a visit can be combined with your Golden Circle drive.
This is a breathtaking waterfall you can walk behind. It is an easy stop near the Golden Circle drive. This was our favorite waterfall in Iceland.
