Alex and I met in High School, a little over 5 years ago. We actually had been going to the same school since 7th grade, but had never really met one another. Junior year, we happened to have the same lunch and got to know one another as friends. I remember wanting to be manger of the soccer team, and Alex telling me he’d put in a good word for me. MUCH to my disbelief, he did this because he liked me. This is how it all happened: I wanted to be friends, he didn’t, he “gives up,” I start liking him, the rest is history???? On our first date, we went to see Anchorman 2, but we were both so nervous that we went home immediately after. The second date (bonefish grill for dinner(heck yes!!!)) was when Alex asked me to be his girlfriend. I never expected that saying “yes” would bring us here. What a whirlwind of a time it has been, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. Alex has taught me patience, the importance of communication and honesty, and most importantly... how to love another human effortlessly and fully. Throughout our relationship, we have learned that love has no time zone, no time frame. Love persists through the toughest of times and the grandest of experiences. Love has taken us from high school to, now, marriage. I don’t think either of us imagined that a little high school crush would turn into a lifelong partnership, but I can say that we somehow always knew that this was what we wanted. We are ecstatic to start this new season of life as husband and wife, and we CANNOT wait to celebrate with each and every one of you ❤️
