Wedding Party

Meet Our Wedding Party! It's big...

Rebecca Feis

Bridesmaid

Becky and Sammy have been friends since birth. As children, they would play with their dolls, drive their power wheels into the pool, and cut Kevin's hair. As preteens, they lived at the mall and basked in the glory of N*SYNC. By high school they’d exchange their heartbreaks while driving the length of the Everglades to the beach; their own coast to coast. Despite college moving Sammy to Orlando and Becky starting on her motherhood journey, they two remained both loyal and connected to each other. No matter where either of them were in space or time, they were always able to pick up where they left off. “Spencer is perfect for Sammy,” Becky would later comment on as the first man to receive her seal of approval.

Erin Adams

Bridesmaid

Sam & Erin sat next to each other on the first day of 3rd grade and so began a bond so strong, not even the most cringey clubbing stories could keep us apart. Sam has been more than a best friend to me all these years, she’s family (seriously, she basically lived at my house growing up). We’ve had each other’s backs through the childhood stuff, working a restaurant job together, the infamous partying days, moving here and there & everything in between. Sam is the most brutally honest and fiercely loyal friend I’ve ever had and no one’s ever been good enough for her until Spencer, full of leo charm and genuine kindness, came along and proved he was made for her.

Jessica Kaplan

Bridesmaid

Jess-eee-kah & Sammy are family. They met as Cousin Steve brought home his first Florida girlfriend. In celebration of Sammy’s 15th birthday, TJ and Steve urged Manager Jessica to invite Sammy to the McDonald’s lobby for an interview. Sammy got the job and joined the rest of the family behind the counter. There was another Millennial Gal in the family and Sammy finally had a sister on her side. As the years went on, the family welcomed Elizabeth to the clan, further cementing their relationship. Jessica will always be Sammy’s super cool car driving, long hair in the wind waving, jeans and chanclas wearing, sister advocate. Jessica is happy to officially welcome Spencer to the family.

Carolyn Kirton

Bridesmaid

Nearly 20 years of friendship, 5 countries traveled together, and too-many-to-count college dorms & apartments. Somehow Sam’s not sick of me yet! 😋 We met back in south Florida in 2006, when I decided it was time to get my first job at the local Outback Steakhouse. Sam (and Erin!) instantly befriended me. As I reflect all these years later, every milestone in my life, Sam has supported me with unwavering loyalty and love. She’s truly the best friend a person could have, and I can’t wait to return the favor and be there for her (and Spencer!) as they start this meaningful, exciting next chapter.

Alicia Spruill

Bridesmaid

I first met Sam when she was writing for a theatrical experiment we were both part of—a play called, "The Other F Word," where we used improv to create scenes. At the time, I was a conservative girl with a purity ring, waiting until marriage... and then I met a girl in the cast who I fell madly in love with. That whirlwind romance lasted all of three weeks—but out of that chaos came one of the best friendships of my life. When my heart was broken, Sam was there—loving, accepting, and endlessly supportive. Even after I moved to Maryland and she eventually headed to California, we stayed close. We were even roommates for about a year, during which I gave her a rent discount and she cleaned my apartment—making it the cleanest it’s ever been, to this day. I’ve had the joy of getting to know Spencer over the past few years, and I can honestly say he’s incredible. I’m so happy that Sam has found someone who matches her kindness, humor, and heart. I couldn’t be more excited to celebrate this next chapter with them.

V 'C-Bal' Perez

Bridesmaid

V & Sam met on set in Miami. They don’t remember which set, but it was one of them. In South Florida, they often discussed grabbing a drink after work only to be hit with the exhaustion only a 12-hour day on set brings in the Miami heat. “Next time,” they’d promise. They would finally make that plan after figuring out they would both in Los Angeles at the same time. V needing to figure out a living situation and Sam taking a shot in the dark at a career move to California. Everything clicked into place and they wound up taking the leap together. Through the partying, eating, working, and moving around LA, they have remained each other’s support systems as the Floridians. And when Sam met Spencer, V recognized his Leo heart and approved.

Katy Zeisler

Bridesmaid

In the sea of friends and family that Spencer surrounds himself with, Katy was the first to step out and decide that her and Sam would be friends despite where their relationships would ultimately end up (spoiler, they’re both on their way to the alter). Whether they are out on double dates, hiring each other for work, enjoying a glass of wine while the Gents slave away in the kitchen, or just having their own adventures, they always manage to find the joy in it all. Katy is Sam’s transplant levity in Valley Boy group. And Sam is Katy’s cheerleader, because she is going to blow us all away one day.

Andy Gonzalez

Groomsman

20 plus years is a long time to know a brother from another mother. I have been there and witnessed many phases of Spencer’s life as he has with me. I’ve seen him grow from an awkward shy kid to someone whom everyone I met in college knew who Spencer, Spencer Smith was. I could list moments and memories but when I think of my friendship with Spencer I just think about him being a kind and good friend to me. Not all of us get that or even that many of those types of people in their lives and I’m just glad a squirrel of a kid decided to become friends with a chubby nerd in 9th grade. On that glorious day when Sam shined her bright light upon Spencer, I knew he got something special and I got myself a new sister. Not only is she a perfect compliment to Spencer, she is a tough, compassionate, and wonderful person. I am so happy and very grateful they found each other and wish nothing but the best for them and their future together.

Chris Knight

Groomsman

Chris and Spencer met in junior high, where Chris spent most of his time picking on Spencer for being a spazz. They followed each other to two high schools and have been great friends ever since—from holding the line together at a 2011 protest outside city hall to Spencer nearly getting them into a fight at a country bar during Chris's bachelor party. Chris knew there was something special about Sam before he ever met her. Most guys play it cool when there's someone new—Spencer was already finding ways to get his friends involved, making sure everyone would be just as excited about her as he was. He even asked Chris to teach her to weld. When Chris finally saw them together—and the capacity for patience Sam had, knowing how much Spencer required it—he knew they were a perfect match. Since they've been together, Spencer has become more collected and, dare we say, "responsible." He's got an eye toward the future and a solid understanding of his career and their financial life together. But make no mistake: he's still a spazz. Chris is honored to stand beside his lifelong friend—and thrilled Spencer found someone with the patience to handle him.
